Prep Tips

Clothing –
Choose classic styles in medium to dark tones for your traditional / yearbook photo.
Please do not wear outfits that are inappropriate or too revealing for senior photos.
Avoid clothes with stripes, logos or loud patterns.  Dress from head to toe,
you might have some photos that include your feet.

Accessories & Props –
Accessories can really add charm to a photo so go ahead and have some ready –
hats, scarves, jewelry, etc.  Don’t forget to bring anything else you might want
to include in your photos such as sports equipment, letterman’s jacket,
instrument, uniform, collections, favorite stuffed animal, trophies, awards
we can even take photos of you with your car!

People & Pets -
If you have a pet, best friend, boyfriend or girlfriend we can find time to take some photos of you
together as well. Please have someone taking care of your pet during the session as you will be very busy.
If possible, your pet should remain in a carrier when not in the shoot.

Hair –
Wear your hair how you like it best.  If you plan to get your haircut, please schedule
it at least a week before. You might want to spray your hair lightly with
some hairspray to keep those fly-aways from catching the light. Guys should
have a fresh shave unless you want facial hair and / or a 5 o’clock shadow.

Make-up –
Apply your makeup no darker than you would for evening.
If you want a more natural look then you still might consider applying some foundation and powder.
Powder can even help on you guys with shine and no one will know!

Hands –
Don’t forget to remove old polish and lotion will help to keep your skin from looking dry.

Glasses –
We want you to wear your glasses but it is best if you can wear your glasses without the lenses,
reflections can ruin some of the best shots.  Ask your optometrist if you can borrow empty frames
or to remove the lenses for you.
